Music: Fabrizio De Andrè Live - Il pescatore (versione originale) - Lyrics

IL PESCATORE

All'ombra dell'ultimo sole
s'era assopito un pescatore
e aveva un solco lungo il viso
come una specie di sorriso.

Venne alla spiaggia un assassino
due occhi grandi da bambino
due occhi enormi di paura
eran gli specchi di un'avventura.

E chiese al vecchio dammi il pane
ho poco tempo e troppa fame

Ma all'ombra dell'ultimo sole

¿no?

amore che vieni da me fuggirai
amore che vieni da me fuggirai

venuto dal sole o da spiagge gelate
perduto in novembre o col vento d'estate
io t'ho amato sempre, non t'ho amato mai
amore che vieni, amore che vai
io t'ho amato sempre, non t'ho amato mai
amore che vieni, amore che vai

Music: Fiona Apple - Never Is A Promise - Lyrics - 1998

You'll never see the courage I know
Its colors' richness won't appear within your view
I'll never glow - the way that you glow
Your presence dominates the judgements made on you

But as the scenery grows, I see in different lights
The shades and shadows undulate in my perception
My feelings swell and stretch; I see from greater heights
I understand what I am still too proud to mention - to you

You'll say you understand, but You don't understand
You'll say you'd never give up seeing eye to eye
But never is a promise, and you can't afford to lie

You'll never touch - these things that I hold
The skin of my emotions lies beneath my own
You'll never feel the heat of this soul
My fever burns me deeper than I've ever shown - to you

You'll say, Don't fear your dreams, it's easier than it seems
You'll say you'd never let me fall from hopes so high
But never is a promise and you can't afford to lie

You'll never live this life that I live
I'll never live the life that wakes me in the night
You'll never hear the message I give
You'll say it looks as though I might give up this fight

But as the scenery grows, I see in different lights
The shades and shadows undulate in my perception
My feelings swell and stretch, I see from greater heights
I realize what I am now too smart to mention - to you

You'll say you understand, you'll never understand
I'll say I'll never wake up knowing how or why
I don't know what to believe in, you don't know who I am
You'll say I need appeasing when I start to cry
But never is a promise and I'll never need a lie

Music: Fabrizio De Andrè Live - Fiume Sand Creek

"Fiume Sand Creek"

occhi turchini e giacca uguale

c'erano solo cani e fumo e tende capovolte

occhi turchini e giacca uguale

Music: Nick Cave - Stranger That Kindness - Live, HQ

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds performing Stranger Thank Kindness
Knopf's Music Hall, Hamburg, Germany
August 15th, 1987

Stranger than kindness
Bottled light from hotels
Spilling everything
Wet hand from the volcano
Sobers your skin
Stranger than Kindness

You caress yourself
And grind my soft cold bones below
Your map of desire
Burned in your flesh
Even a fool can come
A strange lit stair
And find a rope hanging there
Stranger than kindness

Keys rain like heaven's hair
There is no home there is no bread
We sit at the gate and scratch

The gaunt fruit of passion
Dies in the light
Stranger than kindness

Your sleeping hands journey
The loiter
Stranger than kindness
You hold me so carelessy close
Tell me I'm dirty
Stranger than kindness

Music: Dave Matthews - Out of My Hands - Lyrics

Out Of My Hands

Out on my window ledge
I don't feel safe
And I stay
Looking down on you

It's out of my hands for now
It's out of my hands for now

I can't just walk away
Be nice to walk away
But I don't feel safe
Get away, all the way up here

Its out of my hands for now
Its out of my hands for now

Oh it is
Down in from here
And down from here
Start to feel insane
Betrayed
Out on my window ledge

Now our finest hour arrives
See the pig dressed in his finest fine
And all that believe stand behind him and smile
As the day lights up with fire

Let me in
Let me in

I start to feel like I'm crazed

Betrayed

Out on my window ledge

Now our finest hour arrives
See the pig dressed in his finest fine
And all the believers stand behind him and smile
Watch the day's lights up with fire

Looking down from here
It's outta my hands for now
Out on my window ledge
It's outta my hands for now
So let me in
Let me in

Music: Fabrizio de André - E Fu La Notte

E fu la notte
la notte per noi
notte profonda
sul nostro amore.
E fu la fine
di tutto per noi
resta il passato
e niente di più.
Ma se ti dico:
"non t'amo più"
sono sicuro
di non dire il vero.
E fu la notte
la notte per noi
buio e silenzio
son scesi su noi.
E fu la notte
la notte per noi
buio e silenzio
son scesi su noi..

Music: Fabrizio de André - Sidun - Lyrics

SIDON (or 'Saida' in Arabic)

My baby, oh my baby, my baby,
My own baby
His fleshy ruby lips
in the honey sun
Sweet benign tumor
of your mom
Squeezed in this wet,
sultry, sultry summer
And now, a clot of blood, ears
and milk teeth
And the eyes of soldiers, like mad dogs,
who hunted the lambs
with foam at the mouth
and chased people like game
until they quenched
their wild blood thirst
And after the bars into the throat, the bars of jail,
And in the wounds, the poisonous seed of deportation
So that nothing of us, trees, spikes or children,
May grow any more from the plain to the seashore.
Goodbye, my baby, our heritage
is hidden
in this city that
is burning, is burning
in the evening drawing near
and in this great fire light
for your little death.

SIEMPRE EN MI CORAZON
compositor: Ernesto Lecuona

(Lyrics)

Estas en mi corazon,
aunque estoy lejos de ti,
y es el tormento mayor,
esta fatal separacion...

Estas en mi corazon,
y en mi amarga soledad,
el recuerdo de tu amor,
disminuye mi penar...

Yo bien se que nunca mas,
en mis brazos estaras,
prisionera de un cariño
que fue toda mi ilusion,
pero nada ha de poder,
que te deje de querer,
porque como unica dueña,
estas en mi corazon.

Estas en mi corazon,
y en mi amarga soledad,
el recuedo de tu amor,
disminuye mi penar....

Yo bien se que nunca mas,
en mis brazos estaras,
prisionera de un cariño,
que fue toda mi ilusion,
pero nadie ha de poder,
que te deje de querer,
porque como unica dueña,
estas en mi corazon...

BACARDI BUILDING- Havana: " the year 1920 began the construction of this magnificent architectural jewel, representative of the Art Decó in fashion at that time. The building was designed by the architects Esteban Rodriguez Castells, Rafael Fernandez Ruenes and Jose Menendez.

Its construction cost about 400,000 pesos and last 5 years. At that moment, the tip of its main tower was the highest point of Cuba. The famous bat, symbol of the family and logo of the drink brand crowns this tower. The granite used in this construction was imported from Bavaria and Norway."

MANHATTAN IN HAVANA: The Lopez-Serrano Bldg.
"Lopez Serrano Building Built: 1932
Architect: Ricardo Mira & Miguel Rosich
Location: Vedado
The Lopez Serrano, built in 1932 by the office of Ricardo Mira and Miguel Rosich on Thirteenth and L, was among the first skyscrapers in El Vedado. Its vertical piers are stressed in the art deco manner of North American examples. According to Narisco G. Menocal, professor in the art department at the University of Wisconsin, its design closely follows that of the apartment block at One Fifth Avenue in New York City. This project was by Harvey Wiley Corbett, main partner at the firm of Helme, Corbett & Harrison. The Lopez Serrano rises ten floors, with another four in the step-back; it has a steel structure and brick walls. The ground plan is H-shaped for the sake of maximum illumination and ventilation in the apartments, of which there are eight on each standard floor."
