Ricardo Marcenaro bitácora - blog - And the chainsaw sat in front of me and said: -.

And the chainsaw sat in front of me and said: - here I leave you, do becomes the perfect way, from this very moment you are speaking for the sculptor who you've become sculpture.

A cold silence crept over me at first, my body was different, as different as my skin and my senses, all my judgments suddenly disappeared.

In this light I see my children and I see turned their attention not change, I see women who accompanied me in life, also called the attention my change, the same thing happens to men who lived in my life , does not call attention ...

This is where I am, this is where you sometimes find with me as we were, but incomplete as now full of feelings.

Music: Neil Young - Heart of Gold - Live - Lyrics

Neil Percival Young[1] OM (born November 12, 1945) is a Canadian singer-songwriter, musician and film director.

Young's work is characterized by deeply personal lyrics, distinctive guitar work, and signature falsetto tenor singing voice.
Although he accompanies himself on several different instruments—including piano and harmonica—his clawhammer acoustic guitar style and often idiosyncratic electric guitar soloing are the linchpins of a sometimes ragged, sometimes polished sound.
Although Young has experimented widely with differing music styles, including swing, jazz, rockabilly, blues, and electronic music throughout a varied career, his best known work usually falls into either of two distinct styles: folk-esque acoustic rock ("Heart of Gold", "Harvest Moon" and "Old Man") and electric-charged hard rock (like "Cinnamon Girl", "Rockin' in the Free World" and "Hey Hey, My My (Into the Black)").
In recent years, Young has adopted elements from newer styles like industrial, alternative country and grunge. Young's profound influence on the latter caused some to dub him "the godfather of grunge".
As of mid-2008, Young has sold an estimated seventy-nine million albums worldwide.[2]

Young has directed (or co-directed) a number of films using the pseudonym Bernard Shakey, including Journey Through the Past (1973), Rust Never Sleeps (1979), Human Highway (1982), Greendale (2003), and CSNY Déjà Vu (2008).
He is currently working on a documentary about electric car technology, tentatively titled Linc/Volt.
project involves a 1959 Lincoln Continental converted to hybrid technology, which Young plans to drive to Washington, DC as an example to lawmakers there.[3]

He is also an outspoken advocate for environmental issues and small farmers, having co-founded in 1985 the benefit concert Farm Aid, and in 1986 helped found The Bridge School,[4] and its annual supporting Bridge School Benefit concerts, together with his wife Pegi (in this, Young's involvement stems at least partially from the fact that both of his sons have cerebral palsy and his daughter, like Young himself, has epilepsy).

Although Young sings as frequently about U.S. legends and myths as he does about his native country, he remains a Canadian citizen and has never wanted to relinquish his Canadian citizenship.[5] (from Wikipedia)

"Heart Of Gold"

I want to live,
I want to give
I've been a miner
for a heart of gold.
It's these expressions
I never give
That keep me searching
for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.
Keep me searching
for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.

I've been to Hollywood
I've been to Redwood
I crossed the ocean
for a heart of gold
I've been in my mind,
it's such a fine line
That keeps me searching
for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.
Keep me searching
for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.

Keep me searching
for a heart of gold
You keep me searching
And I'm growing old.
I've been a miner
for a heart of gold.
Keep me searching
for a heart of gold...

One of the most famous nights in Australian music occurred in September 1973 when Sir Charles Mackerras conducted the Sydney Symphony Orchestra in the first concert to be staged in the Concert Hall of the Sydney Opera House.
In front of a packed, emotion-charged house, the great Australian conductor made a triumphant homecoming in an all-Wagner concert that sent the critics searching for superlatives.

Featuring the greatest Wagnerian soprano of the twentieth century, Birgit Nilsson, as soloist, the concert provided an electrifying opening for the iconic building.

Sculpture - Escultura: Barry Flanagan - Part 2 - Bio data

Barry Flanagan (clic here Wiki) (January 11, 1941 - August 31, 2009) was a Welsh sculptor, best known for his bronze statues of hares.

Biography

Barry Flanagan was born in Prestatyn, North Wales. He studied at Birmingham College of Art and Crafts (1957–1958) before going on to St. Martin's School of Art in London in 1964. Flanagan graduated in 1966 and went on to teach at St. Martin's School of Art and the Central School of Arts and Crafts (1967–1971). Flanagan represented Britain at the Venice Biennale in 1982. A major retrospective of his work was held at the Fundación 'La Caixa' Madrid in 1993, touring to the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Nantes in 1994.
Flanagan's bronze hares have also been exhibited in many outdoor spaces, most notably on Park Avenue in New York in 1995–96 and in Chicago's Grant Park in 1996. In 1999, he had a solo exhibition at Xavier Hufkens in Brussels followed by an exhibition at the Tate Gallery, Liverpool (2000). In 2002, a major exhibition of his work was shown at the Kunsthalle Recklinghausen, Germany, and toured to the Musee d’Art Moderne et d’Art Contemporain, Nice, France. Flanagan died on August 31 2009 of motor neurone disease.
The Barry Flanagan statue "Thinker on a Rock" is currently on loan to Washington University in St. Louis. Affectionately known to students as "the bunny" the piece is featured prominently in a central location near Olin Library on the Washington University Danforth Campus. Another "Thinker on a Rock" is also located in Washington, D.C. in the National Gallery of Art's sculpture garden[1]. This statue marries Flanagan's ever-present hare motif found in many of his bronzes (in the 1980s, he "perceived the image of a hare unveiling itself" before him and has used it since) with a pose from Rodin's The Thinker(1880).
Flanagan's hare statue "Large Left-Handed Drummer" was on display in Union Square (New York City) park through June 24, 2007.[2]
